Beneath the Surface For All Spring 2023

Beneath the Surface for All is a one-of-a-kind b-mitzvah program for all youth and their parents.  

This three-session Sunday afternoon program is an opportunity for youth and one of their parents to explore the transition of becoming a b-mitzvah. Youth and their parent will share transitions and rituals separately and together. Each group will create a personal ritual to mark this unique time in their lives. 

We warmly welcome all youth, including those who are trans and non-binary. Parents of all genders are welcome to take part in this program with their child. Parents of any (or no) religious background who are raising Jewish child(ren) are warmly welcomed. 

The spring session is geared (but not limited) to families with b-mitzvah celebrations between May-October 2023. The program will run April 30th, May 7th and May 14th from 3:00-6:00 PM at Mayyim Hayyim.
