For all their differences, there is a common element in these works by Michael Mittelman and Sergio Bautista.

Mittelman’s carefully wrought patterns suggest the beautiful order found in nature. Bautista’s explosive use of color and motion suggest chaos held and shaped by his spirited brush strokes and lines.
